Responsibility
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective math lessons for students at various grade levels, adhering to the schoolâs curriculum and international standards.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and a love for mathematics.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, quizzes, exams, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, department heads, and school leadership to develop and refine curriculum materials, teaching strategies, and assessment methods.
- Incorporate technology and innovative teaching tools (e.g., interactive whiteboards, educational software) to enhance learning experiences.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance, progress, and areas for improvement.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development workshops to contribute to the school community.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, research, and best practices in mathematics education to continuously improve teaching methods.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Masterâs degree preferred).
- Teaching certification or license (e.g., PGCE, TEFL, IB certification, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching mathematics at the middle school, high school, or international school level.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics curriculum standards (e.g., Common Core, Cambridge, IB, or other international frameworks).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a growth mindset in students.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse educational environment.
