Responsibility
- Execute precise ingredient preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning, following recipes and established guidelines.
- Assist senior kitchen staff and cooks in the preparation and cooking of various menu items, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workstation, including equipment, utensils, and storage areas, adhering to strict hygiene standards.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of ingredients, reporting shortages or discrepancies to the kitchen supervisor.
- Support dishwashing operations and ensure all kitchenware is cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP principles) to prevent contamination and ensure guest safety.
- Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure timely and efficient food service.
- Assist in receiving and properly storing deliveries, ensuring stock rotation and freshness.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an advantage, but passionate entry-level candidates are also encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
