Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso, pour-over, and specialty drinks, adhering to Alchemist Works’ standards.
- Engage with customers warmly, providing personalized recommendations and ensuring a seamless, enjoyable experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, equipment, and service areas to uphold hygiene and efficiency.
- Educate guests about coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles to enhance their appreciation.
- Collaborate with the team to manage inventory, restock supplies, and monitor coffee bean and syrup levels.
- Handle cash transactions and POS operations accurately while processing orders with speed and precision.
- Assist in training new baristas and sharing best practices to elevate team performance.
- Stay updated on coffee trends, new techniques, and seasonal menu offerings to keep the experience fresh and exciting.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a customer-facing hospitality role, with a passion for coffee.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation methods, equipment (e.g., espresso machines, grinders), and milk steaming techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with diverse customers.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Keen attention to detail, from drink presentation to workspace cleanliness.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory tracking.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Certification in coffee (e.g., SCA) or food safety is a plus but not mandatory.
