Responsibility
- Collect and record traffic volume, vehicle classification, and pedestrian movement data at assigned locations.
- Operate and maintain traffic counting equipment, including manual clickers, automated sensors, and mobile apps.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of data by adhering to standardized collection methodologies.
- Submit detailed daily reports and raw data to the project supervisor within specified deadlines.
- Monitor and document traffic patterns, peak hours, and unusual incidents (e.g., accidents, roadblocks).
- Collaborate with team members to cover multiple survey points and ensure comprehensive data coverage.
- Follow all safety protocols while working in high-traffic or outdoor environments.
- Assist in data entry and preliminary analysis to support engineering assessments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; higher education in engineering, statistics, or related fields is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic proficiency in using smartphones, tablets, or data collection devices.
- Excellent observational and note-taking skills to capture real-time traffic conditions.
- Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
