Responsibility
- Develop and implement customized science lesson plans tailored to the unique learning needs of students with disabilities.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity and hands-on learning.
- Utilize adaptive teaching methods and assistive technologies to ensure all students can participate and succeed.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and support staff to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
- Assess student abilities and design individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet specific learning objectives.
- Incorporate multisensory teaching techniques to make complex scientific concepts accessible and enjoyable.
- Maintain accurate records of student development, achievements, and areas requiring additional support.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in special education and science instruction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Science, or a related field. A teaching certification is a plus.
- Proven experience working with children or young adults with special needs, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of science curriculum standards and the ability to adapt them for diverse learning abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students with disabilities achieve their full potential.
- Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive learning tools is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a positive school culture.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage.
