Responsibility
- Greet and seat guests with a warm, professional demeanor, ensuring a welcoming first impression.
- Take and accurately relay customer orders to the kitchen, including special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, adhering to iO Italian Osteria’s high standards of presentation and service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in dining areas, including table settings, utensils, and condiments.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, such as setting up tables, restocking supplies, and preparing the restaurant for service.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Uphold food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with restaurant policies and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, café, or hospitality setting is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests and team members effectively.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed for part-time shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for Italian cuisine and a willingness to learn about our menu, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/carry trays or supplies (up to 10-15 kg).
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a customer-first mindset.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems or cash handling is advantageous.
