Responsibility
- Develop and deliver interactive Software Development lessons aligned with Senior High School standards.
- Teach programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) and frameworks relevant to the curriculum.
- Design hands-on projects, coding exercises, and assessments to reinforce learning.
- Mentor students in problem-solving, debugging, and software design principles.
- Provide constructive feedback on assignments and guide students toward improvement.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and integrate them into the syllabus where applicable.
- Collaborate with faculty to refine course materials and teaching methodologies.
- Track student progress and report performance metrics to academic leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 3+ years of teaching experience in Software Development or a similar technical discipline.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, JavaScript).
- Experience with educational technology tools (LMS, coding platforms like GitHub, Replit, etc.).
- Strong communication and classroom management skills for virtual or hybrid settings.
- Passion for mentoring young learners and fostering a growth mindset in STEM.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity.
- Familiarity with Senior High School (K-12) curriculum standards is a plus.
