Responsibility
- Assist customers (students, parents, and teachers) in locating books, stationery, and educational materials.
- Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash/credit payments.
- Maintain a well-organized and visually appealing bookshop layout, including restocking shelves and displays.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
- Track inventory levels and report low stock or damaged items to the management team.
- Support promotional activities, such as book fairs or seasonal sales, to drive customer engagement.
- Assist in receiving and unpacking new shipments, ensuring items are priced and shelved correctly.
- Uphold a clean and safe shopping environment in compliance with company standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; higher education in retail, business, or related fields is a plus.
- Proven experience in retail, customer service, or bookshop environments is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse customers.
- Basic math and cash-handling abilities for accurate transaction processing.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage inventory and store presentation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak school seasons.
- Familiarity with educational products or a passion for books and learning is an advantage.
- Fluency in English; additional proficiency in Indonesian (Bahasa) is beneficial.
