Responsibility
- Deliver high-quality Mandarin language instruction to students of diverse age groups and proficiency levels.
- Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet curriculum standards and student learning needs.
- Create engaging and interactive teaching materials to enhance language acquisition.
- Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, and other evaluations, providing constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues to align teaching methods and share best practices.
- Stay updated on modern language teaching techniques and incorporate them into your classes.
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development workshops as required.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Mandarin (native or near-native proficiency) with strong English communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, Chinese Language, or a related field (preferred).
- Prior teaching experience, especially in Mandarin as a second language, is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with language teaching methodologies (e.g., TPR, Communicative Approach).
- Excellent interpersonal and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as per the school’s schedule.
