In this role, you will inspire students (ages 6-18) to explore the exciting world of computing through hands-on projects, coding, and digital creativity. Responsibility
- Design and deliver engaging, English-based computing classes for students aged 6-18, focusing on creativity, problem-solving, and digital skills.
- Teach a variety of tech topics, including coding (Scratch, Python, JavaScript), game design, robotics, and web development.
- Create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth in digital literacy.
- Collaborate with the Digikidz team to develop and refine curriculum materials based on student needs and industry trends.
- Maintain classroom equipment and ensure a safe, organized learning space for all students.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress and class updates.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in edtech and computing education to enhance teaching methods.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience teaching or mentoring students in computing, coding, or digital skills (formal or informal settings).
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Scratch, Python, JavaScript) and digital tools (e.g., robotics kits, design software).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple, engaging way.
- Passion for education and a commitment to fostering creativity and critical thinking in young learners.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time role.
- Experience with project-based learning or STEM education is highly desirable.
