Responsibility
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, latte, cappuccino, and specialty drinks, following SIP Cafe's standards.
- Take customer orders accurately and provide friendly, efficient service to enhance the guest experience.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality at all times.
- Assist in preparing simple food items, such as pastries and sandwiches, to complement beverage offerings.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system with precision and honesty.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee bar, seating area, and storage spaces.
- Engage with customers in a warm and professional manner, addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth café operations during peak hours and events.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and a passion for learning more.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 10 kg (22 lbs).
- A positive attitude and a team-player mindset.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
