Responsibility
- Assist orthopaedic surgeons and medical staff during surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and instruments are prepared and sterilized.
- Apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints, and braces according to physician instructions, ensuring patient comfort and proper fit.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including wound management, mobility exercises, and the use of assistive devices.
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any concerns or changes in condition to the medical team.
- Maintain and organize orthopaedic supplies and equipment, ensuring inventory levels are adequate and all items are in working order.
- Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized rehabilitation plans for patients.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control protocols, to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients, helping them navigate their recovery journey with confidence.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Orthopaedic Technology, Nursing, or a related medical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Orthopaedic Technician or in a similar role, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of orthopaedic procedures, medical terminology, and patient care techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain medical information clearly and compassionately.
- Proficiency in using orthopaedic equipment and tools, including casting materials, traction devices, and surgical instruments.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is an advantage.
- Willingness to relocate or travel to various locations in Bali as required.
