Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose vision problems and eye diseases.
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses, tailored to individual patient needs.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries, such as LASIK or cataract procedures.
- Educate patients on proper eye care, hygiene, and preventive measures to maintain optimal vision health.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment to assess visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and retinal health.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in optometry and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Optometry from an accredited institution.
- Valid license to practice optometry in Indonesia (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in optometry, with a strong focus on patient care.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as retinoscopes, slit lamps, and tonometers.
- Excellent communication skills in English (and Bahasa Indonesia is a plus) to effectively interact with diverse patients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately diagnose and treat vision-related issues.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach with a commitment to ethical practice.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
