Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases or conditions.
- Prescribe and fit eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids tailored to patientsâ needs.
- Provide expert advice on eye care, lens options, and frame selections to enhance patient satisfaction.
- Perform vision tests and analyze results to diagnose issues such as glaucoma, cataracts, or macular degeneration.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices, hygiene, and the importance of regular check-ups.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals for referrals and co-management of patient care.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in optometry and optical technology to provide state-of-the-art service.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Optometry or a related field; certification as an Optician is a plus.
- Valid license to practice optometry in Indonesia (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Proven experience in conducting eye examinations, prescribing corrective lenses, and patient consultation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients and team members.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to precision in diagnostics and lens fitting.
- Proficiency in using optometric equipment and electronic health record systems.
- Passion for continuous learning and professional development in the field of eye care.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
