Responsibility
- Assist ophthalmic surgeons during all phases of eye surgeries, ensuring a sterile and organized operating field.
- Prepare and verify the availability of surgical instruments, implants, and medications specific to ophthalmic procedures.
- Monitor and maintain the sterility of equipment and supplies throughout surgical interventions.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by efficiently passing instruments and providing necessary support.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to strict infection control protocols and preoperative checklists.
- Document all surgical procedures, including instruments used, medications administered, and patient responses.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to manage emergencies or unexpected complications during operations.
- Educate patients and their families on preoperative and postoperative care instructions.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with a valid Indonesian nursing license (STR).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Operating Room Nurse, with at least 1 year specializing in ophthalmic surgeries (preferred).
- Certification in Perioperative Nursing or Ophthalmic Nursing is a strong advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of ophthalmic surgical instruments, procedures, and sterile techniques.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Proficient in English and Indonesian (both written and verbal) to communicate effectively with international patients and staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, teamwork, and continuous professional development.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali and adapt to a dynamic, multicultural work environment.
