Responsibility
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using statistical models, market analysis, and historical data.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to align demand plans with business objectives.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in demand planning.
- Optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
- Prepare and present demand forecasts and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
- Utilize ERP and demand planning software to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
- Conduct regular reviews of forecast accuracy and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, economic factors, and competitive landscape to refine forecasting models.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or a similar analytical role.
- Proficiency in demand planning tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in the retail or consumer products industry is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
- Familiarity with statistical forecasting methods and inventory management principles.
