Responsibility
- Prepare and maintain the operating theatre environment, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile and ready for surgical procedures.
- Assist the surgical team by providing necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment during operations.
- Monitor and maintain strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff.
- Handle and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment using autoclaves and other sterilization techniques.
- Set up and dismantle operating theatre equipment, including surgical tables, lights, and monitoring devices.
- Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and anesthetists to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, sterilization processes, and inventory levels.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and assist in the preparation of emergency surgical procedures.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Operating Theatre Technology, Nursing, or a related healthcare field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in an operating theatre or sterile processing department.
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices, sterilization techniques, and surgical equipment handling.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure the highest standards of patient safety.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle heavy equipment.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
