Responsibility
- Prepare and maintain operating theatres to ensure they are clean, sterile, and ready for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgical teams with patient handling, including positioning and transferring patients.
- Ensure all surgical equipment and instruments are properly sterilized and functioning correctly.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of surgical equipment and instruments.
- Follow strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
- Provide support to surgical teams during procedures as needed.
- Document and report any issues or incidents related to equipment or patient safety.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Operating Theatre Technology or a related field.
- Previous experience in an operating theatre or surgical setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sterility.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and inventory management.
