Responsibility
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile and safe operating environment.
- Prepare and maintain the operating theatre, including sterilizing instruments and setting up equipment.
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide immediate postoperative care as needed.
- Administer medications and IV fluids under the direction of the surgical team.
- Document all perioperative care accurately and maintain patient records in compliance with hospital policies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions from pre-op to recovery.
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety standards in the operating theatre.
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families before and after surgery.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with a valid nursing license (preferably recognized in Indonesia or transferable).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Operating Theatre Nurse or in a perioperative care setting.
- Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR or equivalent) is highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and sterile techniques.
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Indonesian (Bahasa) is a plus.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with best practices in perioperative care.
