Responsibility
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures by preparing and passing instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure the sterility of the operating room and adhere to strict infection control protocols.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and responses to anesthesia and surgery.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education, preparation, and recovery support.
- Anticipate and respond to emergency situations (e.g., hemorrhage, cardiac arrest) with rapid, effective interventions.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a safe and efficient workflow in the OT.
- Manage and maintain surgical inventory, ensuring all equipment and supplies are available and functional.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (S.Kep) or equivalent, with a valid Indonesian Nursing License (STR).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an OT Nurse or in a surgical/peroperative setting.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work under pressure in high-stress, time-sensitive environments.
- Fluency in English and Indonesian (written and verbal).
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on best practices in perioperative nursing.
