Responsibility
- Prepare the operating room by ensuring all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterilized, functional, and ready for use.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by anticipating needs, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide immediate care in response to any changes or emergencies during surgery.
- Administer and document medications, fluids, and blood products as directed by the surgical team.
- Ensure compliance with all infection control, safety, and aseptic techniques in the OR.
- Coordinate with the anesthesia team to prepare patients for surgery and assist in their post-operative recovery.
- Educate patients and families about pre- and post-operative care, procedures, and expectations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of surgical procedures, patient responses, and care provided.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (S.Kep) or equivalent; active nursing license in Indonesia (STR).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an OR Nurse, preferably in ophthalmology or laser surgery.
- Certification in Perioperative Nursing (e.g., CNOR or equivalent) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and OR protocols.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to fast-paced environments, and maintain composure in critical situations.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to patient safety.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts for emergency procedures.
