Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate daily ocean import operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of shipments.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of customer manifests, customs documents, and other regulatory paperwork.
- Liaise with shipping lines, customs brokers, and government agencies to ensure compliance with import regulations.
- Monitor shipment statuses, track delays, and proactively resolve issues to minimize disruptions.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in import logistics workflows.
- Maintain accurate records of all import transactions, including invoices, bills of lading, and delivery confirmations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., warehouse, finance) to ensure seamless handoffs and inventory management.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving disputes, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in ocean freight import operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of international shipping procedures, customs regulations, and Incoterms.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., ERP, TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (written and verbal).
- Familiarity with Indonesian import/export laws and local port authorities is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
