Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive occupational health programs tailored to mining operations, including health surveillance, disease prevention, and wellness initiatives.
- Conduct regular medical examinations, fitness-for-duty assessments, and health screenings for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Provide emergency medical care and first aid response on-site, coordinating with local healthcare facilities for advanced treatment when necessary.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate workplace health hazards, including chemical exposures, ergonomic risks, and environmental factors.
- Ensure compliance with Indonesian occupational health regulations (e.g., Kemenaker, ILO standards) and company policies.
- Lead health education and training programs for employees on topics such as hygiene, PPE usage, and injury prevention.
- Collaborate with safety engineers, HR, and management to investigate work-related illnesses/injuries and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and generate reports for regulatory bodies, audits, and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) degree from an accredited institution, with a specialization in Occupational Health (or equivalent certification).
- Valid medical license to practice in Indonesia (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in occupational health, preferably in mining, construction, or heavy industry.
- Proven expertise in workplace hazard assessment, industrial hygiene, and emergency response protocols.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian and international occupational health laws (e.g., OSHA, ILO).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to train staff and advocate for health policies.
- Ability to work in remote or challenging environments with limited resources.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; additional local dialects are a plus.
