Responsibility
- Lead and coordinate all NPI quality activities at the manufacturing site, ensuring smooth product transitions from development to production
- Develop, implement, and verify comprehensive quality plans for new product launches, including DFMEA/PFMEA analysis
- Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to establish robust process controls and quality metrics for new products
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for potential quality issues during product ramp-up
- Perform first article inspections (FAI) and validate production processes to ensure compliance with design specifications
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in NPI processes to enhance efficiency and reduce time-to-market
- Prepare and present comprehensive quality reports to management and cross-functional teams
- Support supplier quality activities during new product development and ensure component quality meets requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in NPI quality engineering or related quality assurance roles
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
- Experience with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management systems
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving skills with experience using root cause analysis tools (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone)
- Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
