- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve latency, throughput, and reliability.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot complex network issues across data centers, CDNs, and edge computing environments.
- Automate network provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 network availability and rapid incident response.
- Document network topologies, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct capacity planning and scalability assessments for future network growth.
- Contribute to proof-of-concept (PoC) projects for emerging technologies like 5G, AI-driven networking, or multi-cloud interconnects.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and network security fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, Grafana, Prometheus) and SDN controllers (e.g., OpenDaylight, ONOS).
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on automation, scalability, and reliability.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, global team.
- Prior internship or project experience in network engineering or DevNetOps is advantageous.
