Responsibility
- Monitor and maintain data centre network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues related to TCP/IP, routing, switching, and security.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement network upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.
- Perform regular network performance analysis and optimize network resources for efficiency.
- Document network configurations, changes, and incident reports for future reference.
- Respond to network incidents and outages, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution.
- Assist in the design and implementation of network solutions to support business growth.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance network operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or Network Operations Engineer, with a focus on data centre environments.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and switching technologies.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, PRTG) and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and network security best practices.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
