Responsibility
- Design, configure, and deploy LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless networks to ensure high availability and performance.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to prevent downtime.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
- Administer and optimize system software, security protocols, and access controls to safeguard data integrity.
- Collaborate with IT teams to assess infrastructure needs and recommend scalable, cost-effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and disaster recovery plans.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users and junior staff on network-related queries.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in network engineering, system administration, or IT infrastructure roles.
- Hands-on expertise with Cisco, Juniper, or HP networking equipment and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP).
- Strong knowledge of firewall security, VPN configurations, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark) and scripting (Python, Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
