Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in store equipment, HVAC systems, and retail infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including store managers and vendors, to coordinate repairs and upgrades.
- Install, test, and commission new equipment or systems as part of store expansions or renovations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory of spare parts.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and local building codes.
- Provide emergency technical support during off-hours or critical situations to minimize operational disruptions.
- Train and mentor junior technicians or staff on basic technical procedures and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Technician in mechanical, plumbing, or electronics, preferably in retail, hospitality, or commercial environments.
- Certification or vocational training in electrical engineering, mechanical systems, or plumbing (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters, pressure gauges).
- Excellent communication skills in English to liaise with stakeholders, vendors, and team members.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks involving lifting, climbing, or working in confined spaces.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration, or POS systems is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or public holidays, as needed.
