Responsibility
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of metal structures or products.
- Operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Arc) to join metal components with precision and strength.
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as plasma cutters and grinders.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on existing metal structures, equipment, and machinery as needed.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure project timelines and goals are met.
- Adhere to all workplace safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to optimize efficiency and safety.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Welder or Fabricator, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME) is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) and metal fabrication processes.
- Ability to use hand and power tools, as well as welding and cutting equipment safely and effectively.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various positions (standing, bending, kneeling).
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
