Responsibility
- Handle escalated network incidents, troubleshooting and resolving issues to minimize downtime and ensure SLA compliance.
- Monitor and maintain network performance, availability, and security across client environments.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to implement, upgrade, and optimize network solutions (e.g., firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs).
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring network issues and propose proactive improvements.
- Assist in the design, configuration, and deployment of network infrastructure for new and existing clients.
- Document network configurations, changes, and incident reports for knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
- Stay updated with emerging network technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with a focus on MSP or enterprise environments.
- Strong proficiency in Cisco, Juniper, or Fortinet networking hardware and software.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or Fortinet NSE are highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios) and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and internal stakeholders.
