Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based and on-premise IT infrastructure for MSP clients, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
- Monitor and maintain high-availability systems, ensuring 99.9% uptime and rapid incident resolution.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity best practices, including firewall management, patch updates, and vulnerability assessments.
- Automate routine IT tasks using scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash) and tools like Ansible or Terraform.
- Provide Level 2/3 technical support for clients, troubleshooting complex issues across Windows/Linux environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to migrate clients to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Document system configurations, processes, and SOPs for internal and client-facing reference.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in IT infrastructure, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and SaaS solutions.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as an IT Systems Engineer, with a focus on Managed Service Providers (MSP).
- Proven expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, routing/switching) and security tools (SIEM, EDR).
- Proficiency in scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for system administration.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect, or CompTIA Network+ are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to liaise with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with a proactive, client-focused mindset.
