Responsibility
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on heavy mobile equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and container handlers.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory using digital and manual logging systems.
- Collaborate with the operations team to prioritize equipment repairs and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to maintain a secure working environment for all personnel.
- Conduct performance tests and calibration of equipment to ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Assist in the training of junior technicians and provide technical guidance as needed.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in heavy equipment maintenance.
Qualifications
- Diploma or vocational certification in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintaining and repairing heavy mobile equipment in a port, logistics, or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in heavy machinery.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to work in shifts and adapt to varying operational demands.
- Certification in occupational health and safety is a plus.
