Responsibility
- Perform microbiological testing and analysis on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct environmental monitoring and microbial identification to maintain a controlled and sterile manufacturing environment.
- Document and report test results accurately, ensuring adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve microbiological deviations and out-of-specification results.
- Assist in the validation and qualification of microbiological methods and equipment.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and advancements in microbiological techniques.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory processes and efficiency.
- Support audits and inspections by providing necessary documentation and technical expertise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a microbiology laboratory, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques, including sterility testing, endotoxin testing, and microbial identification.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO, FDA, and GMP.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in using laboratory equipment and software for data analysis and reporting.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
