Responsibility
- Manage and oversee the capital (CAPEX) and operational (OPEX) expenditures for material handling equipment (MHE) to ensure cost-efficiency and budget adherence.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for the procurement, maintenance, and repair of MHE, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all MHE assets, including purchase details, maintenance history, and depreciation schedules.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of assets.
- Monitor equipment performance and reliability, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending upgrades or replacements as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and finance, to align MHE strategies with overall business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies related to the operation and maintenance of MHE.
- Prepare and present regular reports on CAPEX and OPEX expenditures, equipment performance, and maintenance activities to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing CAPEX and OPEX for material handling equipment in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of MHE, including forklifts, conveyors, pallet jacks, and automated systems.
- Proven experience in vendor management, procurement, and contract negotiation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in using asset management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams across different departments.
- Certification in equipment maintenance or safety (e.g., OSHA, ISO) is a plus.
