Responsibility
- Develop and execute data-driven buying strategies to maximize footwear category sales and profitability.
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and consumer demand to inform pricing and promotional strategies.
- Optimize inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock and markdowns.
- Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to negotiate terms, secure exclusive deals, and maintain strong partnerships.
- Analyze sales performance, customer feedback, and market data to identify opportunities for category growth and improvement.
- Create and present merchandising reports and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, branding guidelines, and retail standards across all footwear products.
- Support the launch of new footwear lines, including product selection, pricing, and in-store/online placement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or retail management, preferably in the footwear or sports industry.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with proficiency in Excel or merchandising software.
- Proven ability to develop and implement pricing, inventory, and promotional strategies that drive sales.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills to secure favorable terms and partnerships.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for market trends, consumer behavior, and product performance.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate strategies and insights to stakeholders.
