Responsibility
- Develop and execute comprehensive merchandising and buying strategies for assigned product categories, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market trends.
- Create and manage seasonal buying plans, including budget allocation, assortment planning, and vendor negotiations.
- Monitor inventory levels and sales performance, implementing data-driven adjustments to optimize stock and minimize over/understock situations.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure cohesive product launches and promotional campaigns.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and opportunities for growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating terms to secure the best pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Analyze sales data and KPIs to evaluate performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Lead cross-functional projects to enhance merchandising processes, tools, and systems for improved efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or retail management, preferably in the consumer products or retail industry.
- Proven track record in developing merchandising strategies and managing product categories with measurable business impact.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with proficiency in tools like Excel, ERP systems, or retail analytics software.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Deep understanding of retail trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics in Indonesia or Southeast Asia.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English and Indonesian; additional languages are a plus.
