Responsibility
- Design, review, and approve MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings, schematics, and layouts in compliance with local and international standards.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, ACMV, fire protection, and plumbing & drainage works.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to technical specifications, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into project designs.
- Prepare and submit technical reports, risk assessments, and progress updates to stakeholders and senior management.
- Troubleshoot MEP-related issues during construction and provide cost-effective, efficient solutions.
- Ensure all MEP works comply with Malaysian regulations, including JKR, BOMBA, and TNB requirements.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services within budget.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., PE, CEng) is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP engineering, with a focus on Electrical, ACMV, Fire Protection, and Plumbing & Drainage systems.
- Proven track record in construction projects, preferably in high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, or infrastructure.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP, or similar design and simulation software.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian building codes, JKR standards, and international MEP best practices (e.g., NFPA, ASHRAE).
- Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is highly advantageous.
