As a Mental Health Counsellor, you will provide confidential, evidence-based counselling to individuals facing emotional, psychological, or social challenges. Responsibility
- Conduct one-on-one and group counselling sessions for clients with diverse mental health needs.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aligned with evidence-based practices.
- Assess client progress through regular evaluations and feedback, adjusting interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and community organizations to ensure holistic client support.
- Maintain confidential and accurate case records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Provide crisis intervention and emotional support in high-stress situations.
- Educate clients and their families on coping strategies, mental health awareness, and available resources.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development to enhance service quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field (accredited by relevant bodies).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mental health counselling, preferably in a public sector or community setting.
- Certification or licensure in counselling (e.g., LPC, LMHC, or equivalent) is highly advantageous.
- Strong active listening, empathy, and communication skills to build trust with diverse clients.
- Familiarity with CBT, DBT, or other therapeutic modalities for mental health treatment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English and Indonesian (Bahasa); additional local languages are a plus.
- Commitment to ethical practice, cultural sensitivity, and client confidentiality.
