Responsibility
- Review and verify medical reimbursement claims for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
- Process and submit claims to insurance providers or internal systems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Liaise with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to resolve discrepancies or missing documentation.
- Maintain detailed records of all processed claims, communications, and follow-up actions in the company database.
- Identify and report trends or recurring issues in claim denials to improve processes and reduce errors.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and analytics on reimbursement activities for management review.
- Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and company procedures affecting reimbursement processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns from stakeholders promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for education.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, reimbursement, or a similar role within the healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding (e.g., ICD-10, CPT), and insurance claim processes.
- Proficient in using medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work with large volumes of data accurately.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with local and international healthcare reimbursement regulations is a plus.
