Responsibility
- Manage and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with local and international healthcare standards.
- Ensure the confidentiality, security, and proper storage of patient medical data.
- Process and organize medical documentation, including lab results, treatment plans, and physician notes.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to verify and update patient information.
- Generate reports and statistical data for clinical and administrative purposes.
- Audit medical records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Train staff on proper documentation procedures and EHR system usage.
- Respond to requests for medical records while adhering to privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA or local equivalents).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical records management or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, or local data protection laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
- Certification in Health Information Management (e.g., RHIA, RHIT) is a plus.
