Responsibility
- Process patient payments, insurance claims, and billing inquiries with accuracy and professionalism.
- Verify and reconcile financial transactions, ensuring compliance with healthcare billing regulations.
- Maintain confidential patient records and financial data with strict adherence to privacy protocols.
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to patients regarding billing statements, payment plans, and insurance coverage.
- Collaborate with medical staff to resolve discrepancies in charges or patient accounts.
- Generate and distribute financial reports for management review.
- Assist in training new staff on billing systems and cashiering procedures.
- Stay updated on changes in healthcare billing codes, insurance policies, and local financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Medical Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related allied health fields.
- Previous experience in medical billing, cashiering, or healthcare administration is a plus but not required.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, billing software).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
