Responsibility
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies accurately and efficiently.
- Verify patient information, including insurance coverage and billing details.
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS).
- Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations and company policies.
- Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing issues.
- Generate and review billing reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with patient inquiries regarding billing statements and insurance claims.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical billing is a plus.
- Proven experience in medical billing, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding, and insurance procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
