Responsibility
- Assist healthcare providers in examining and treating patients by preparing treatment rooms, taking vital signs, and recording medical histories.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine analysis and blood glucose monitoring, and prepare specimens for external testing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and general health practices to promote wellness and compliance.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling, manage patient flow, and ensure a smooth and efficient clinical environment.
- Sterilize and prepare medical instruments and equipment, adhering to infection control standards.
- Provide compassionate support to patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring a positive healthcare experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical assistant role or similar healthcare position.
- Graduate of BS Nursing or a related medical field; certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care techniques.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic medical equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
