Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical equipment, production machinery, and utility systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues, diagnose faults, and implement corrective actions to restore equipment functionality.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve mechanical problems that impact manufacturing efficiency.
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of machinery and reduce the risk of unexpected failures.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and calibration of new mechanical systems and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance for reporting and analysis.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and production staff as needed.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance practices and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and protocols (e.g., OSHA, ISO).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work in shifts or on-call as required by operational needs.
