Responsibility
- Perform disassembly, servicing, and installation of plant mechanical equipment, including pumps, valves, gearboxes, bearings, cylinders, and belts.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective repair solutions in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems and optimize system performance.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a secure working environment.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status for accurate record-keeping.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new mechanical systems and components.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians as needed.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably in an industrial or plant setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, valves, gearboxes, and bearings.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
