Responsibility
- Lead and supervise the mechanical maintenance team to ensure high operational availability of plant equipment.
- Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Manage departmental budgets, spare parts inventory, and procurement processes to ensure cost-efficiency.
- Oversee daily maintenance activities, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for complex mechanical issues.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to schedule major plant outages and maintenance shutdowns.
- Mentor and develop team members through training initiatives and performance management.
- Prepare regular reports on asset health, maintenance KPIs, and operational performance for senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Valid Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Mechanical Engineering License (RME or PME preferred).
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, specifically within a power plant or heavy industrial setting.
- Strong expertise in rotating equipment, pressure vessels, boilers, and auxiliary plant systems.
- Proven leadership experience in managing large teams and unionized workforces.
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and MS Office suite.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA/Safety standards and local environmental compliance regulations.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and crisis management skills.
