Responsibility
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules and procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify areas for improvement and implement upgrades or modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations during maintenance operations.
- Order and manage inventory of spare parts and supplies required for maintenance activities.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and other team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician or in a similar role, preferably in the waste management, oil & gas, or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, compressors, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Certification in mechanical engineering or a related field is a plus.
