Responsibility
- Design and develop mechanical components for medical devices, ensuring compliance with industry standards (ISO 13485, FDA).
- Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and testing to validate product performance and safety.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to optimize designs for scalability and cost-efficiency.
- Create detailed technical documentation, including CAD models, specifications, and regulatory submissions.
- Perform risk assessments and failure mode analyses to mitigate potential design flaws.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and materials to drive innovation in medical device engineering.
- Support product lifecycle management from concept to commercialization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during production and post-market phases.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Masterâs preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in medical device design or a regulated engineering environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and FEA/CFD tools.
- Strong knowledge of medical device regulations (ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820).
- Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a hybrid/remote setting with occasional travel to Bali offices.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
