Responsibility
- Design, develop, and test mechanical components and systems for laboratory instruments, ensuring precision, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, and systems engineers) to integrate mechanical designs into fully functional prototypes.
- Optimize existing mechanical systems for performance, cost-efficiency, and manufacturability using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and failure mode analysis to mitigate design flaws.
- Oversee the fabrication, assembly, and testing of mechanical prototypes, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including engineering drawings, BOMs, and test reports.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies in robotics, automation, and materials science to drive continuous improvement.
- Support the transition of R&D projects to mass production, working closely with manufacturing partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, prototyping, or system integration (fresh graduates with exceptional projects are encouraged to apply).
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) and FEA analysis tools.
- Hands-on experience with injection molding, CNC machining, or additive manufacturing is a plus.
- Strong understanding of materials science, tolerancing, and GD&T principles.
- Experience with robotics, automation, or electromechanical systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative R&D environment.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required; knowledge of Indonesian is a bonus.
