Responsibility
- Develop and prepare detailed design drawings and layouts for products and components using AutoCAD and other CAD software.
- Provide technical support to production teams, ensuring designs meet functional, safety, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, quality control, and procurement) to optimize product development processes.
- Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing to validate design concepts and material selections.
- Review and improve existing product designs for cost efficiency, performance, and manufacturability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including bills of materials (BOM), specifications, and engineering reports.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues in production and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in mechanical engineering and non-ferrous metals.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Masterâs degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the metal fabrication or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory) and other CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor).
- Strong knowledge of material properties, especially non-ferrous metals, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and ISO standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
